Why do we not disable driver monitoring while the vehicle is stopped?

Driver monitoring is a safety feature used to remind you to pay attention when you aren't looking ahead.
Disabling it is dangerous and should be avoided.

That being said, when your vehicle is stopped - the only feature of driver monitoring still active is the "nag" message that says eyes on the road and flashes your dash / EON.

It will not disengage while vehicle is stopped.
